Jevon Boreland
Co-Founder
Jevon Boreland is a Canadian Director/Screenwriter/Producer residing in Toronto, Canada. First introduced to the world of film at the age of 7, Jevon credits watching Wes Craven's 1996 Scream as the film that inspired him to become a writer/director. Now the co-founder of Dark Wolf Pictures, his passion for dramatic thrillers influence his storytelling.

Jevon’s films have been described as authentic, thought-provoking, empathetic, character-driven, conscientious and passionate. Using familiar genres that audiences enjoy watching, he pushes the envelope by leaving a message deeper than the surface of which the genre rests on. His films explore an entertaining, emotionally-driven and grounded world that audience members can empathize with.

Outside of his own filmmaking, Jevon works as an unscripted television producer on various reality TV shows. These shows include Global’s Big Brother Canada, CityTV’s Bachelor in Paradise Canada, CBC's The Legacy Awards, CW’s Recipe for Disaster and many more.

With 3 films under his belt — 2018's sexy documentary Stripped, 2019's To Kill A Secret labelled a thought-provoking character study by the Toronto Star, and 2021's powerfully-intense drama A Gift — Jevon has collectively earned 23 official selections, 7 nominations and 15 award wins, 4 of which are for Best Director from various film festivals. These festivals include Reelworld Film Festival, Toronto Black Film Festival, InsideOut Film Festival and Festival du Nouveau Cinema.

With no signs of slowing down, Jevon believes in quality over quantity as he approaches his next moves.
Jacob Rocha
Drawn to filmmaking from an early age, Jacob is fascinated with all aspects of production. Currently a member of IATSE Local 873 working in the Grip Department, Jacob prides himself on his technical knowledge when approaching both camera and lighting, while understanding there is much more to learn. He looks forward to the on-going learning that comes with collaboration in media production.
Jacob has been working heavily in the industry on both feature films and television series since completing the renowned Film & Television Production Program at Humber College in 2019. He has had the incredible opportunity to work on feature films such as Dream Scenario (2022) starring Nicholas Cage, Netflix’s Original 13 The Musical (2021) starring Debra Messing and Rhea Perlman, and 8-Bit Christmas (2021) starring Neil Patrick Harris.
As Jacob continues his career, he has been able to expand his talents to various roles. Thrilled with new opportunities, he has begun Dolly Gripping for television series such as Pachinko Season 2 (2023), The Horror of Deloris Roach Season 1 (2022) and In The Dark Season 4 (2021/2022).
To date, Jacob has worked on several short films and music videos as Director of Photography and highlights his most recent work on the short series AlphaHouse (2023). He considers this to be one of his most creative learning experiences to date.
Currently, Jacob continues working in the industry in the Grip Department and as a freelance Director of Photography with Dark Wolf Pictures.
Kijhai Boreland
Kijhai Boreland is a Canadian filmmaker and television Producer residing in the Greater Toronto Area. Her artistic journey began at the age of nine when she first took to the stage as a singer and dancer. Over the years, her passion for the Arts evolved from music and dance to film and television. After graduating with honors from Humber College’s Film and Television Production Program, Kijhai pursued a career in Producing.
In 2018, she joined the team at Dark Wolf Pictures as a Partner, contributing to the award-winning documentary Stripped (2018) and the short film To Kill a Secret (2019). Over the years, Kijhai cultivated her passion in filmmaking, Directing her own documentary titled The Lone Wolf (2020) and Producing the suspense-drama What I wouldn’t Give (2021).
With a strong drive and ambition, Kijhai has gained extensive experience in the industry, working on notable television productions such as Suits (Season 8), Top Chef Canada (Season 10), and Big Brother Canada (Seasons 10-12), among numerous other scripted and unscripted projects. With over nine years of professional experience, she is also an active member of Toronto's Film and Television Union, IATSE Local 873, where she works as a Set Dresser.
As a woman of color in the film industry, Kijhai believes that diversity and equity in the workplace are just as important as talent and skill.
Mitchell McEwan
Mitchell McEwan was born and raised in Mississauga, Ontario. He graduated Humber College in 2019 from the Film and Television Production Program. During his time at Humber, Mitchell became a part of the Dark Wolf Pictures team. He also directed a PSA for a non-for-profit organization, Trek for Teens, which has received numerous Official Selections in the film festival circuit including the 2019 International PSA Competition.

Mitchell was the 1st Assistant Director of Dark Wolf Pictures’ first scripted film, To Kill a Secret, which has won several awards. Since then, he has worked on multiple shows, such as The JUNO Awards, Battle of the Blades, LOL: Last One Laughing Canada, National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, and Canada’s New Year’s Countdown to 2022 where he worked as a coordinator.

Mitchell continues to work closely with his Dark Wolf Pictures collaborators to produce award-winning films and content. He is currently working on Dark Wolf Pictures’ newest film, Welcome, which completed principal photography in the fall of 2023.
Anthony Hunos
Co-Founder
“Hustle like an underdog” — words that Anthony Hunos strongly lives by. An up and coming Toronto-based cinematographer, his love for filmmaking derived from his childhood hobby of shooting homemade videos. Eager to turn his passion into something more, he graduated from the renowned Film and Television Production program at Humber College where he further honed his talents as a creative.

In 2018, Anthony won Best Cinematography at the Hollywood International Independent Documentary Awards for his work on Stripped. He was later nominated for Best Cinematography at the 2018 Los Angeles Independent Film Festival Awards. In 2020, his work on To Kill A Secret won him Best Cinematography in the Short Thriller category at the FFTG Awards. Most recently, he shot his first feature film titled Welcome which premiered in the fall of 2024.

Anthony’s work also branches out to reality television, namely a Senior Story Producer on Global’s Big Brother Canada. Other productions he has worked on include CityTV’s Canada’s Got Talent, CityTV’s Bachelor in Paradise Canada, Peacock’s Love Island USA, CW’s Recipe for Disaster and casting for CTV’s The Amazing Race Canada and CBC's Canada's Ultimate Challenge.

As the co-founder of Dark Wolf Pictures, Anthony is dedicated to telling timeless stories through his keen eye for visuals. More importantly, Anthony aims to inspire and strengthen Asian representation in the industry, hoping to be a continuous part of pushing diversity forward.
Patricia Rastrullo
Patricia Rastrullo is a Toronto-based Canadian Filipino filmmaker. She has most recently worked on Big Brother Canada Season 12 (2024), Top Chef Canada Season 11 (2024) and Top Chef US Season 22 (2024). Patricia is a member of the trailblazing Dark Wolf Pictures production company and is most proud of her role as Supervising Producer on Dark Wolf Pictures' first feature film, Welcome (2024). She is excited to continue creating exceptional and riveting films with the rest of the crew.
Patricia was also heavily involved in the development of the multi-award winning documentary Stripped (2018) and was the Casting Director for the thought-provoking film To Kill A Secret (2019). She has also worked in various departments such as production, cast care, story editing, script supervision and wardrobe. She continues to expand her repertoire on and off set in hopes of becoming a multifaceted filmmaker.
Being a two time Cancer Survivor has shown her that you beat cancer by how you live, why you live and the manner in which you live by. She is extremely grateful for every healthy day she has and she hopes to spend most of those days pursuing her love for film by working with other ambitious and innovative filmmakers.
Maria Teresa Rossi
Maria Teresa Rossi is a proud member of the esteemed production company Dark Wolf Pictures. She discovered the Dark Wolf team through their shared experience in the Film and Television Production program at Humber College, where she set a major focus on editing.

In her final year, she had the thrilling opportunity to serve as editor for Dark Wolf Pictures’ short film To Kill a Secret, which won the Best Editing award at the FFTG Film Festival.

Maria Teresa was eager to reprise her editing role when Jevon Boreland approached her for their first feature film, Welcome. This incredibly rewarding experience further honed her skills and elevated her craft. It also allowed her to explore other roles, earning credits as a story editor, art director, and associate producer on Welcome.
​
Currently, Maria Teresa works in television as a Production Editor for TLN Media Group, where she has thrived for the past five years. She looks forward to a bright future as a film editor and associate producer with Dark Wolf Pictures.
Chelsie Boreland
Chelsie Boreland is a diligent filmmaker determined to tell captivating and nuanced stories. She completed the Film & Television Production Program at Humber College, which taught her the fundamentals of filmmaking.
While working on multiple short film and documentary projects, she became drawn to the various ways thoughtful storytelling can be conveyed through cinematography. Upon graduating, she continued to seek learning and development opportunities by participating in the OYA Emerging Filmmakers Program from award-winning production company OYA Media Group, and the Advanced Cinematography Workshop hosted by Black Women Film and Hire Higher.
Currently, Chelsie is a camera trainee in IATSE 667’s Camera Trainee Program.
